Application Process​

Step 1
Submit a completed Application Form

An applicant’s very first task is to submit a completed 
Application Form.

Step 2
Take admissions test and Interview

An applicant must take the WCA admissions test before an admissions decision can be made. The applicant will have an interview with the WCA principal.

Step 3
Submit all Application Supporting Documents

Once the applicant passes the admission test and interview, application supporting documents will be requested as listed below. Additional documents’ forms will be given to the applicant’s parents directly.

Standard documents
・ Copy of passport front page of applicant 
・ Three recent passport photos of applicant 
・ Copy of report cards from current and last two school years 
・ Recent standardized test scores
   (if you have any; i.e. iBT, TEPS, SSAT, PSAT, ACT, SAT etc.)

Additional documents
・Consent to Collect, Use and Disclose Personal Information 
・ Applicant Questionnaire (Grades 1-5 or Grades 6-12) 
・ Assessment of Student Health 
・ Medical History and Report of Medical Examination 
・ Application for School Bus Service (Optional) 
・ Indemnity Agreement

Step 4
Payment on Tuition and admissions fee

After the examination on the submitted application supporting documents, final acceptance will be made; all tuition and admission fees must be paid by the designated due date in order to reserve a seat.

WCA Admissions Statement

WCA welcomes all applications from students of all nationalities and whose parents share the School’s Philosophy and Objectives. Admission will be granted to a student when it has been determined WCA has an appropriate program and resources to meet that student’s learning needs. WCA admits qualified students of any race, religion, nationality or ethnic origin, gender to all of the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to our private school students.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, nationality or ethnic origin or gender in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid programs, or athletic and other school administered programs.
Applications will be accepted throughout the year, depending on the availability of seats.

FAQs
1. Who is eligible to be enrolled at WCA?
A student who submits all required application documents and passes the admissions test.

2. When can students apply?
Perspective students can enroll at any time during the school year. In high school (10-12), students should begin in September or before November. Secondary students who enroll when a term is in progress may be required to make up missed coursework.

3. Is there an ESL program at WCA?
There is not a separate ESL program at WCA. Elementary students receive English language support through Language Lab class. Teachers accommodate for English language needs within the mainstream classes.

4. Is WCA accredited?
WCA is a Candidate for Accreditation. Approved by the Accrediting Commission for Schools,Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

5. What is the average class size?
The average class size is 5 students per class.

6. Do you offer additional languages?
Chinese is taught in the Elementary and Secondary. 

7. What if an admissions application is unsuccessful?
Students may reapply six months from the original admissions test.
